Before coming for an internship, please follow these 5 steps:
It is better to arrive in Moscow 1-2 days before the start of practice in order to adapt to a new place.
The arrival of the student is supervised by a manager of the academic mobility group. Upon arrival, the student contacts him by phone or through any convenient messenger. A transfer from the train station / airport to the hostel will be organized for the student.
An employee of the academic mobility group will meet the student at the hostel to help with check-in, transfer the necessary documents and conduct initial briefing.
During the internship, foreign students are provided with one day meal (lunch) in the university canteen and accommodation in the dormitory (free of charge or on a commercial basis, depending on the terms of the agreement with the partner university).
The student is obliged to comply with the rules of residence in the dormitory and fire safety.
The dormitory is near from the main building of the University and Konkovo metro station. There are grocery stores, a pharmacy, a bank branch, a hairdresser not far from the dormitory. In the nearest transport accessibility there are large shopping and entertainment centers.
To travel around Moscow, you highly recommended purchase a Troika card. Troika is a transport card to pay for travel on Moscow city transport and other transport services. The Troika can be used to pay for metro, ground transportation and commuter trains.
The Troika card can be purchased and topped up at the Moscow Metro ticket offices.
Free Wi - Fi is available in public transport (access points “ Free Wi - Fi ”, “ MosFree” or “ Moscow Free Wi - Fi ”).
To order a taxi, please use the applications Uber, Yandex Taxi, Gett.
Moving around Moscow, a foreign student should have a passport, migration card and temporary registration on the territory of the Russian Federation.
A foreign student is obliged to notify the academic mobility group about attending major events, about moving around the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as in case of unforeseen situations.
The internship is carried out in accordance with the practice programs approved at the University. The student undergoes practical training at the clinical bases of the University, located in Moscow.
On the first day of the internship at the clinical base the student is accompanied by an employee of the academic mobility group. The following do guides the days the student gets to the point of passing production practice independently. The student does not have the right to independently change the base and the time of the practice.
The practice of students is under the supervision of experienced staff of the host department who speak English. The degree of participation of a foreign student can be different and is determined by the curator depending on the level of training of the student: from the presence and supervision of the doctor's work to the performance of certain types of work and manipulations.
Arriving for practice, the student should have with him data on the passage of medical examinations, according to the decree of the practice department of Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, as well as a medical gown, a surgical suit, and removable shoes. A student who has not passed a medical examination, or who has not passed it in full, does not have medical documents confirming the passage of a medical examination, and also has submitted medical documents with an expired validity period, is not allowed to participate in practical training until the required medical documents are presented in full.
